La Red Wing Moc Toe fut construite pour résister aux travaux pénibles dans des conditions météorologiques difficiles. Le nom Red Wing « Moc Toe » dérive du mot « Moccasin », le mot indien algonquien traditionnel pour la forme du bout en U.

Une distinction importante par rapport au reste de la famille Moc Toe est la trépointe. La Red Wing 1907 n'a pas de cousu trépointe dit montage Goodyear, mais un cousu norvégien à la place. Dans un cousu norvégien, la tige est reliée à la fois à la première de montage et à la semelle d’usure, offrant plus de solidité et de robustesse. La semelle rembourrée Traction Tred à crêpe blanc de la bottine Red Wing 1907 offre une adhérence maximale et un confort exceptionnel. Contrairement à la plupart des bottines Red Wing Moc Toe, la Red Wing 1907 possède une semelle intercalaire marron et est livrée avec des lacets en cuir brut.
